What matters most to the clients for this loan?
Keeping repayments manageable while one of them is on parental leave next year. They want an offset for their savings buffer.
Thanks, that covers priorities, features and foreseeable changes. Did they lean towards variable, fixed or a split?

How it works

Two simple steps that mirror how you already work. You do the broking; BidChat helps you write it up.

1

Chat about client needs

Describe the first conversation in your own words. BidChat ticks off what you've covered and asks about the gaps, one question at a time.

2

Add your comparison and reasons

Upload the comparison from your aggregator (names are stripped automatically) and explain why you're recommending your chosen loan.

3

Copy or email your commentary

Get clear, plain-English commentary in your chosen tone and voice. Copy it into your file, or email it to yourself.

See an example

A fictional deal, shortened. Your output reflects only what you tell BidChat.

Example – your chat
Refinance, owner-occupied. Couple, both PAYG. Main goal is to reduce repayments; second is to keep an offset for their emergency savings. Open to variable. One expects to go part-time in about two years.
Got it. Did they set a maximum repayment they'd be comfortable with?
Around $3,200 a month at most.
Example – drafted commentary

The clients are refinancing their owner-occupied home. Their main goal is to reduce their repayments, and they would also like an offset account to hold their emergency savings. They are comfortable with a variable rate. One of the clients expects to move to part-time work in around two years, so keeping repayments within their stated comfort level of about $3,200 per month is important to them.

Questions

Does BidChat make my file BID compliant?

No. BidChat is a drafting aid. It helps you express your own reasoning; you remain responsible for your best interests assessment, your records and your licensee's requirements.

Does it compare or recommend loans?

No. You do the comparing and choose the loan. BidChat helps you explain why, in plain English.

What client information do I enter?

None that identifies your client. Use descriptions like "the clients". Uploaded comparisons have names and contact details removed before they're read.

How long are deals kept?

45 days. You'll get a reminder in the app and by email a week before. Use "Duplicate deal" if you need longer (it uses one deal from your allowance).

Is it only for home loans?

Yes, for now.

Can I share my login?

No. Each account is for one broker, and signing in on a new device signs out the old one.

How do I cancel?

Any time, from your account page. You can also delete your account and data there.
